All we are saying…

Fair enough that people have different interpretations of what ‘the problem’ is and how to solve it. The madness of war takes diversity of opinion and transforms it into toxic and contageous polarities. All sides see the autrocities of ‘the other’, overlooking or dismissing their own teams inhumanity as necessary or as an exception to an otherwise righteous rule.

The use of military violence in Iraq hasn’t helped, but rather has weakened the ethical fabric of humanity. A sad outcome is that so many young people have adopted the belief that violence against people is acceptable. Many have died, and many have killed. Yet despite this enormous cost, and perhaps as a result of this wasteful cruelty, progress is elusive.

All we are saying is “we told you so”
